Arizona Cardinals bringing back assistant OL coach Chris Cook

The Arizona Cardinals will have coaching continuity for their offensive line in 2026. Under new head coach Mike LaFleur, not only will offensive line coach Justin Frye be retained, so will his assistant.

According to CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz, assistant offensive line coach Chris Cook is being retained.

Cook has been the Cardinals' assistant offensive line coach since 2023, joining the staff when Jonathan Gannon became head coach. He worked initially under Klayton Adams, but Adams became the Dallas Cowboys' offensive coordinator in 2025, and Cook remained with Frye, who came over from Ohio State.

This will mean that the returning offensive linemen for the Cardinals in 2026 will have familiar faces coaching them, even with a new head coach and offensive coordinator.
