St. Thomas: Women’s basketball beats Omaha for third in a row

Faith Feuerbach scored 13 points to lead the St. Thomas women’s basketball team to a 73-43 home victory against Omaha in St. Paul on Saturday.

Alyssa Sand, Jada Hood and Autumn McCall each scored 12 points for the Tommies (13-13, 6-6 Summit), who won their third straight game after losses in four of five games. Sand had team-highs with seven rebounds and four assists.

St. Thomas cruised to the dominating win with a strong second half, outscoring Omaha (4-24, 2-11) 37-23 after halftime.

The Tommies shot 57.7% from the field in the second half. They finished the game 6 of 15 from 3-point range and scored 28 points off 22 Omaha turnovers. They also outscored Omaha 46-24 in the paint.

St. Thomas has a bit of a break. It returns to action on Thursday at 7 p.m. at North Dakota.
