Kimberly’s Ryan McGinnis inducted into WBCA Hall of Fame

(WFRV) – On Saturday evening, Kimberly high school’s Ryan McGinnis was inducted into the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association’s Hall of Fame.

Few resumes in Wisconsin high school baseball can match what Ryan McGinnis has built.

An Appleton West graduate, McGinnis is entering his 21st season as the head coach at Kimberly, after previously spending six years leading Oshkosh North. As of the 2026 season, his career record stands at an eye-popping 452-166, a .731 winning percentage that places him among the state’s elite.

“The Hall of Fame is our highest honor and only goes to a very select few,” said WBCA President Andy Niese. “These men dedicated their lives to growing baseball not only at their institutions, but state wide. I’d like to thank the Hall of Fame Committee, led by Mark Fuller, and the four regional committees for their hard work in identifying those most deserving.”

Competing annually in the competitive Fox Valley Association, McGinnis has turned Kimberly into a perennial powerhouse. The Papermakers have captured 14 conference championships, nine sectional titles, and two Division 1 state championships (2007 and 2017) under his leadership.
