Stade Rennais are set to offer Junior Aké (18) his first professional contract, according to information from Le Parisien.
The young defender, who will celebrate his 19th birthday on 15th March, will sign with Les Bretons for the next three years. A frequent presence at the professional team’s training sessions, the left-footed player made his first Ligue 1 appearance on the Rouge et Noir bench against Paris Saint-Germain on 13th February (3-1 victory).
Winner of the 2025 Coupe Gambardella, a renowned national competition open to teams under the age of 18, Aké joined Stade Rennais’ youth academy in 2022. Born in Nogent-sur-Marne, in the Paris region, he also plays for France’s under-19 team.
A member of the 2007 generation, he is set to become the sixth representative to sign a professional contract with SRFC, following Kader Meïté (18), Ayoub Akabou (18), Lucas Rosier (18), Yaël Thébault (18) and Joël Coulibaly (18).
