The Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks have seen Klint Kubiak officially leave to take over as head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, leaving Mike Macdonald in need of a new offensive coordinator.

With that in mind, and with the Super Bowl parade now in the books, the team is set to begin interviewing in house candidates to replace Kubiak over the back half of the week according to a report from NFL insider Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

For those readers who may not be familiar with the names in Fowler’s posts, they occupied the following positions on the 2024 staff for Seattle:

  • Andrew Janocko: Quarterbacks
  • Jake Peetz: Passing Game Coordinator
  • Justin Outten: Run Game Specialist and Assistant Offensive Line
  • Mack Brown: Tight Ends

Thus, for those fans waiting on the edge of their seat for the team to name a new offensive coordinator, it appears that Friday is the absolute earliest that Kubiak’s replacement would be named, and very possibly through the weekend.

So, for now it’s playing the waiting game to see who the team names as Kubiak’s replacement, and how many members of the staff Kubiak takes with him to Las Vegas.
