After going for a transition layup, Jalen Williams slowly walked back to defense. He eventually checked out and walked to the locker room as he grabbed his hamstring. Uh oh.
Williams' season-best night against the Phoenix Suns was spoiled by another injury. The 24-year-old looked like his All-NBA form as he finished with 28 points on 11-of-12 shooting before he exited the floor in the Oklahoma City Thunder's 136-109 win.
In just his second game back from a ten-game absence due to a hamstring strain, Williams re-aggravated the injury. The Thunder listed him out for Thursday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks with a hamstring strain. He will be re-evaluated after the NBA All-Star break, per Thunder PR.
Such a bummer. Williams has been plagued by injuries this season. He missed OKC's first 19 games recovering from two surgeries on his wrist. He played through torn wrist ligaments in their championship run these past NBA playoffs. Now, he's had two hamstring strains. He's been limited to 26 games this season.
