Following the dramatic 2023 championship won by the Japan national baseball team, expectations are sky-high for another unforgettable tournament. With powerhouse programs like the United States, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Japan once again expected to load their rosters with All-Stars, the 2026 edition promises October-level intensity in a March spotlight.

  • 10: Fernando Tatis Jr. – Team Dominican Republic
  • 9: Kyle Schwarber – Team USA
  • 8: Ronald Acuna Jr. – Team Venezuela
  • 7: Julio Rodríguez – Team Dominican Republic
  • 6: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. – Team Dominican Republic
  • 5: Cal Raleigh – Team USA
  • 4: Juan Soto – Team Dominican Republic
  • 3: Bobby Witt Jr. – Team USA
  • 2: Aaron Judge – Team USA
  • 1. Shohei Ohtani – Team Japan

Team USA and Dominican Republic dominate offensively:

Each of these countries has four hitters represented in the top 10 rankings, and eight of the top 10 are from the two countries.

Team USA has three hitters ranked in the top five, while no other country has more than one.

Despite only having one hitter in the top 10, Japan has the number one-ranked hitter, and they have dominated play at the WBC since its inception.
