Algeria has its first friendly fixture lined up ahead of the 2026 World Cup. The match will be played against Uruguay on March 31 in Turin.
According to "Footalgeriedz," the international friendly between Algeria and Uruguay will take place in Italy, specifically in Turin.
There are also rumors about possible friendlies against Costa Rica and the Netherlands, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
The two teams have met only once before, in a 2009 friendly at the July 5 Stadium, where Algeria claimed victory thanks to a goal from Rafik Djebbour.
The Fennecs are gearing up for the 2026 World Cup, which will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026, across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Riyad Mahrez and his teammates share Group J with Argentina (June 17), Jordan (June 23), and Austria (June 28).
