Wrexham booked a place in the last 16 of the FA Cup for the first time in 29 years thanks to a 1-0 win over Ipswich Town.

The Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney-owned club from North Wales have plotted a rapid rise through the English football pyramid in recent seasons, but have not reached round five of the world's oldest knockout cup competition since 1996/97.

On that occasion, Wrexham went all the way to the quarterfinals and they have the chance to do so again after Josh Windass scored his ninth goal of the season from Ryan Longman's cross.

Both sides were much changed, with next weekend's Championship rematch at the Racecourse Ground next weekend arguably of greater consequence, with both clubs chasing promotion to the Premier League.

In the meantime, Wrexham can dream of a tie against one of the Premier League big boys. Chelsea are already through, while Manchester City and Arsenal contest ties against lower league opposition over the weekend.
