Coming into the 2026 Winter Olympics, Canada could be viewed as one of the top threats to top the medal charts.

At the last Winter Games in 2022, Canada finished fourth among all countries with its 26 medals, including four gold. Even at the 2024 Paris Olympics over the summer, Canada had a strong showing, ranking 11th with 27 total medals.

In Milan, big names like Mikaël Kingsbury (freestyle skiing), Connor McDavid (men's hockey) and Marie-Philip Poulin (women's hockey) will have a shot to bring medals back to Canada. How many will they win?
