Clemson baseball announces postponement of game on Sunday

Clemson baseball has announced a schedule change for this weekend’s series against the Army Black Knights at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

Due to forecasted inclement weather expected on Sunday, the series finale has been moved to Saturday and will now be played as part of a doubleheader. The twin fixtures are scheduled to begin at noon, with both games taking place in Clemson.

The adjustment ensures the three-game series will still be completed while avoiding potentially unsafe playing conditions later in the weekend. Clemson and Army were originally slated to play the finale on Sunday, but shifting the matchup allows both teams to maintain their schedules without further disruption.

For Clemson, the change creates a busy Valentine's Day that will test the Tigers’ pitching depth early in the season. Managing innings and navigating bullpen usage across two games in one day will be key as the staff looks to keep arms fresh while still competing for a series victory.

From a fan perspective, the updated schedule offers an opportunity to catch two games in one afternoon at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. Gates and ticketing policies are expected to remain the same, though fans are encouraged to monitor Clemson Baseball’s official channels for any additional updates.

With opening weekend energy in the air and a doubleheader now on tap, Clemson will look to take advantage of home-field conditions and continue building momentum as the 2026 season gets underway.
