Michigan State baseball opens season with top ten win over Louisville

Michigan State baseball has opened up their 2026 season with an absolute bang, earning one of the biggest wins they very well could get this season. Opening the year, MSU traveled to Louisville for a three game series against the No. 8 ranked Cardinals. In game one, the Spartans earned a 4-3 victory.

Leading the way for the Spartans was Randy Seymour, who got his first home run of the season, while adding three RBIs in the game. Adam Broski added the other RBI. Nolan Higgins gets credit for the win for the Spartans, while Tommy Szczepanski got the save in the contest.

The two teams will square off on both Saturday and Sunday to finish their season opening series.
