Packers go CB-DT in Reuter's 3-round mock draft

The Green Bay Packers got a cornerback in the second round and a defensive tackle in the third round of Chad Reuter's new 3-round mock draft at NFL.com.

At No. 52 overall, Reuter sent South Carolina cornerback Brandon Cisse to the Packers. A round later, Ole Miss defensive tackle Zxavian Harris was the pick at No. 84 overall.

In Cisse and Harris, the Packers would be addressing two of the teams biggest offseason needs: perimeter cornerback and run-stuffing defensive tackle.

Cisse is a 20-year-old NC State transfer who started all 12 games for South Carolina in 2025. The true junior produced an interception and five pass breakups during his lone season with the Gamecocks. Per PFF, Cisse allowed only 18 receptions for 361 yards across 269 coverage snaps, and he earned a near-elite 89.1 run defense grade. Over three seasons at the collegiate level, Cisse allowed a completion percentage of only 51.8 and defensed 10 passes.

From Lance Zierlein's scouting report on NFL.com: "Teams will be willing to take a chance on Cisse’s explosive athleticism and upside, but a refinement runway might be needed to smooth some of the rougher edges. He’s scheme-versatile in coverage and is an A-rated run supporter. Work ethic and athletic testing will work in his favor. However, a lack of instincts and break anticipation could cost him in coverage against quality route runners. His press will become a more effective weapon with technical work and his route recognition should improve with more reps. Cisse’s traits and competitiveness are clear selling points, but a lack of on-ball production and coverage consistency create a more volatile floor."

Some see Cisse as a first-round caliber prospect entering the draft process.

Harris is a mammoth defensive tackle who was listed at 6-8 and 330 pounds. He was an excellent run defender during his final two seasons at Ole Miss, and he produced 24 total pressures as a pass-rusher during his final season in 2025, per PFF.

Matt Holder's scouting report of Harris on Bleacher Report notes a "rare frame and unique traits to develop" and strength to hold gaps, a willingness to throw up hands to block passing lanes and experience playing multiple positions up front. However, Harris is a slow-burn pass rusher and lacks the explosive traits necessary for creating negative plays. He also has two prior arrests on his record, so off-the-field concerns could steer teams away.
