The 2026 Winter Olympics have already presented high drama for athletes competing in Milan, and Tuesday there was a dramatic development after a Norwegian Olympics star won a medal.
Sturla Holm Laegreid took home a bronze medal after his effort in the biathlonrela, however, his post-medal interview took the world, and his girlfriend, by utter shock.
The Norwegian Olympics star broke down crying and called his trip to Italy “the worst week” of his life despite the success. The story got even wilder after he admitted to cheating on his girlfriend recently.

“I told her a week ago. And it’s been the worst week of my life,” he told Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK). “I had a gold medal in life, and there’s probably a lot of people out there who look at me differently now, but I only have eyes for her. Sports has taken a bit of a back seat these past couple of days. Yeah, I wish I could share this with her.”
Laegreid took home bronze in his competition this week where athletes have to combine the aspects of cross-country skiing and and rifle shooting.

The 28 year old won a 2022 biathlon relay gold medal during the Beijing Games. However, the Olympics star has already improved his individual efforts with a bronze medal this time around.
