USC will try out offensive lineman Tobias Raymond at center
On Friday, many of USC’s assistant coaches spoke to the media. While we have previously heard from head coaches Lincoln Riley and new defensive coordinator Gary Patterson, this was our first opportunity to hear from the Trojans’ position coaches this offseason.
One of the more notable developments from the press conference came from offensive line coach Zach Hanson. Hanson noted that USC plans to have Tobias Raymond play some center during spring practice.
Raymond started all 13 games for the Trojans in 2025, splitting time across left tackle, left guard, and right guard. However, he has yet to start a game at center at the college level.
Killian O’Connor was USC’s primary center in 2025. It will be interesting to see what working Raymond in at the position means for O’Connor, and if the Trojans could potentially look to work him in elsewhere in 2026.
Hanson also said that five-star true freshman Keenyi Pepe will start off playing right tackle this spring. While the Trojans are notably returning all five starters on the offensive line, Pepe certainly has the talent to earn immediate playing time and potentially even unseat one of them for a starting spot.

Barcelona Extends Lead with De Jong's Goal vs Levante
