9INE add Flayy to Counter-Strike 2 roster

9INE announced the signing of Alan “Flayy” Krupa on Tuesday, March 3, as a replacement for Roberts “shield” Tipsis, who was recently removed from the active Counter-Strike 2 roster.

Flayy joins the now majority-Polish CS2 roster as a free agent. He previously played for Team Venom, but stepped away from action in January after the team disbanded the roster.

Since then, the 20-year-old has featured in several online events as a part of KOLESIE, including the Intel Extreme Masters Rio Global Qualifier. More recently, Flayy won JB Pro League Season 2, marking his first gold medal since Fragadelphia 19 in 2025.

While Flayy’s stint with Venom was not fruitful, he has played well individually, averaging a 1.14 performance rating over the last year and 1.16 during his stint with KOLESIE.

The Pole will now have a chance to prove himself at 9INE, who are currently ranked 42nd on the Valve Regional Standings (VRS), which puts them in a race for IEM Cologne spots.

9INE, whoever, still need to rise up the rankings, and have multiple tournaments lined up in the coming months to do so.

Flayy will make his official debut at Stake Ranked Episode 1 closed qualifiers, where 9INE will battle for one of two tickets leading to the main event.

9INE are set to play their first match of the qualifiers on Thursday, March 5, when they face off against Tricked Esports in the top side of the knockout bracket.

According to the top Counter-Strike 2 betting sites, 9INE are $1.45 favorites to start the event with a win and take one step closer to qualifying for the US$100,000 tournament in April.
