Once ranked Baseball America's No. 8 prospect in 2024, Salas has plummeted to No. 90 in this year's list. The 19-year-old has struggled offensively with a .221 career batting average and 22.5% strikeout rate in 800 minor league at-bats, missing most of last season with a back injury.
Despite his offensive woes, Salas remains valued for his defense, graded 70-fielding and 60-arm on a 20-80 scale. With no Opening Day roster spot available, he'll likely begin the 2026 season in the minors as the organization continues to develop the top international free agent signing who received $5.6 million at age 16.
