Mike Tyson has launched the Mike Tyson Invitational in Las Vegas to combat the decline of American boxing. The 59-year-old Hall-of-Famer aims to elevate the sport's status by providing a platform for top amateur boxers.
Tyson believes the sport is 'dying' and lacks the grassroots competition it once had. He plans to collaborate with Dana White and the Saudi-backed partnership to bring boxing back to its former prominence.
The event runs March 12–14 in his adopted hometown.
