Cowboys tight end Princeton Fant was carted off from Monday's practice after an apparent left knee injury. According to Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News, Fant was scheduled for an MRI to determine the extent of the injury.

The injury occurred when Fant took a knee-to-knee hit after being blocked backward into running back Israel Abanikanda during the Cowboys' first padded practice of training camp. Fant was unable to put weight on his left leg, requiring a cart to leave the field. The Cowboys have other options at tight end including Jake Ferguson, Brevyn Spann-Ford and Luke Schoonmaker. Fant, who signed as an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee in 2023, has appeared in 11 games in three seasons, mostly on special teams. sport-tr.bet
