49ers Sign OT Kion Smith, Waive WR Colton Dowell

The San Francisco 49ers have signed offensive tackle Kion Smith while waiving wide receiver Colton Dowell to create a roster spot.

Smith joins the 49ers after spending the 2025 season with the Miami Dolphins, where he started two games and appeared in 23 overall.

Dowell, a 2023 Titans seventh-round pick, caught one reception for three yards over 10 games for San Francisco. esporist.com
