Giants Cut QB Jake Haener

The New York Giants have waived quarterback Jake Haener, joining Brandon Allen in being cut from the team.

The Giants' decision to cut Haener leaves only Jameis Winston as the backup behind Jaxson Dart. The team is expected to re-sign either Haener or Allen to the practice squad. Haener, who was signed after the first preseason game, completed 9-of-10 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown.

Allen had a strong preseason as well, going 26-of-28 for 224 yards with two interceptions. Haener has played eight games with one start in 2024 with the Saints, throwing for 226 yards with one touchdown and one interception in regular-season action. piekny-pies.pl
