Jaguars Release QB Nick Mullens After Ewers Trade

The Jacksonville Jaguars are releasing quarterback Nick Mullens in the aftermath of the Quinn Ewers trade, according to NFL Network.

Nick Mullens, 31, joined the Jaguars in March 2025 on a two-year deal and appeared in five games for the club last season, completing all three of his passes for 19 yards. The move comes as the Jaguars prepare to reduce their roster to 53 players by 6 p.m. ET on Sunday.

Besides Ewers and starter Trevor Lawrence, the Jaguars also have Carter Bradley and rookie Joey Aguilar at quarterback. Mullens entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2017 and has appeared in 38 career games with 20 starts for San Francisco, Cleveland, Minnesota, and Jacksonville. liveiplscore.homes
