Chiefs DB Conner to make season debut

Chiefs defensive back Chamarri Conner is set to make his 2026 debut on Sunday after missing the first three games with a knee injury. Conner led the team in defensive snap percentage last season and can play nickel or safety. tbzikra.com

Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo praised Conner's tackling ability, noting he "keeps showing up, making plays" in film review. Jaden Hicks and Alohi Gilman have started at safety in Conner's absence, with Hicks playing every snap. Meanwhile, starting left tackle Josh Simmons will miss his fourth consecutive game with a bulging disc in his lower back.
