Leicester appeal against six-point deduction

Leicester City have launched an appeal against a six-point Premier League deduction for financial rule breaches, a sanction that has pushed them into the bottom three.

The Foxes were docked points for failing Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) over three seasons ending in 2024. The club described the punishment as disproportionate despite a reduced scale.

Leicester are now in the bottom three and face an urgent appeal hearing. The club also confirmed the appointment of Gary Rowett as head coach this week.
