Norwegian minnows Bodo/Glimt continued their fairytale Champions League campaign by knocking out Italian giants Inter Milan in a stunning upset. The northernmost team to ever feature in the competition, Bodo/Glimt beat Inter both home and away (3-1 in Norway and 2-0 in Milan) despite operating on a fraction of the budget of Europe's elite clubs.
Remarkably, the club from the Arctic Circle town of Bodo, with a population of just 55,000, achieved this feat while in their off-season, as the Norwegian top-flight ended in November and resumes in April. This victory marks Norway's first Champions League knockout stage win since 1987-88 and positions Bodo/Glimt alongside Johan Cruyff's Ajax as the only team outside Europe's top five leagues to win four consecutive games against teams from England, Spain, Italy and France.
