Patriots' Diggs Faces Judge, Charges May Be Dropped

New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs pleaded not guilty to strangulation and assault charges, but his attorney insists the charges will be dropped.

Diggs pleaded not guilty to felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault charges. His attorney, Mitchell Schuster, stated Diggs is completely innocent and believes the charges will eventually be dropped.

The incident reportedly occurred on Dec. 2 during a dispute over unpaid wages. Diggs was released on personal recognizance with a no-contact order, though his attorney claims the case will not impact his future on the football field.
