Florida State, ranked No. 16 in preseason polls, began its 2026 campaign with a 5-1 victory over James Madison. Myles Bailey launched a 425-foot home run in the first inning, followed by Brody DeLamielleure's 392-foot shot in the second.

The Seminoles, led by fourth-year head coach Link Jarrett, aim to sweep the three-game series and improve their 9-0 all-time record against JMU. FSU has significant roster turnover with 23 newcomers but remains a College World Series contender.
