Reddick crossed the finish line first but didn't celebrate immediately, uncertain if the yellow light was on before he crossed. The victory was particularly meaningful after finishing second last year and represented the culmination of a journey that began with ARCA testing at the track.
The California native, who grew up watching the Daytona 500 with his family, described the moment as surreal. "Never would I know it would lead to me talking to you guys about winning a Daytona 500, but certainly as a young kid growing up, I always dreamed that hopefully this would one day be reality," Reddick said.
