Czechia Seeks Revenge Against Canada in Olympic Quarterfinals

Czechia will face Canada in the Olympic quarterfinals rematch after suffering a 5-0 defeat in their opening game, with players determined for a different outcome.

Czechia knows what to expect when they face Canada in the quarterfinals of the men's Olympic tournament, hoping for a better result than the 5-0 thrashing they received in the opener. 'We let them win the first one because we knew we were not going to win two in a row against Canada,' said Czech forward Martin Necas.

The game is scheduled for 10:40 a.m. ET/7:40 a.m. PT on Thursday. 'It might be the best team ever, so maybe we have to put the respect aside a little bit and try to take their game to them,' added David Pastrnak. This will be the first Canada-Czechia men's hockey playoff game with NHL players at the Olympics since 1998, when Czechia won 2-1 in a semifinal.
