The United States defeated Sweden 5-0 in the Olympic women's hockey semifinal, with goalie Aerin Frankel posting a shutout, to advance to the gold‑medal game against Canada.

In a dominant performance, the U.S. outscored Sweden 5-0 in the semifinal at the Milan Cortina Games. Aerin Frankel stopped 21 shots for her third shutout of the tournament, while Abby Murphy, Kendall Coyne Schofield and Hayley Scamurra each scored in the second period.
