Ex-Michigan Coach Gets Hearing on Arrest Validity

Former Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore was granted an evidentiary hearing for March 2 to challenge the validity of his arrest following his firing in December.

Moore's attorney argued in court that a detective failed to disclose that the alleged victim worked closely with him within the Michigan football program, creating a one-sided picture used to establish probable cause. The former coach maintains his innocence and faces charges of third-degree home invasion, stalking, and breaking and entering after being fired for an inappropriate relationship with a staff member.
