McMorris, Spalding Miss Olympic Slopestyle Podium

Canada's Mark McMorris finished eighth while Cameron Spalding placed tenth in the men's snowboard slopestyle final at Milano Cortina 2026, missing the podium.

McMorris, who fell in two of three attempts, was seeking his fourth consecutive Olympic podium appearance. The 32-year-old had previously withdrawn from big-air competition due to a concussion, bone bruising near his pelvis, and an abdominal strain. Spalding, the 2024-25 World Cup champion, couldn't secure a medal in his Olympic debut.

China's Su Yiming claimed gold on his 22nd birthday, with Japan's Taiga Hasegawa earning silver and American Jake Canter taking bronze.
