No. 1 Michigan basketball defeated No. 7 Purdue 91-80 on the road Tuesday, Feb. 17, extending their Big Ten lead with a dominant second half performance. The Wolverines ripped off a 16-0 run midway through the first half and led 48-32 at halftime.
Nine Wolverines scored in the first half as Elliott Cadeau led with 17 points, Aday Mara added 10 points and 12 rebounds, and Yaxel Lendeborg had 13 points and seven assists. The win extends Michigan's (25-1, 15-1) lead in the Big Ten to 2½ games over Illinois and three games over Nebraska.
