Yankees Play Through Sewage Leak at Spring Training

The New York Yankees overcame a sewage leak at Steinbrenner Field during their spring training matchup against the Tigers, defeating Detroit 20-3 despite the unpleasant conditions.

A sewage leak seeped into the Yankees' clubhouse bathroom during Saturday's spring training game, forcing fans to navigate around pools of stinking water. The Tampa Department of Public Works is reportedly aware of the issue, which resulted in workers tearing up part of the stadium entrance to access damaged pipes.

Despite the unsanitary conditions, the Yankees adapted by conducting interviews in a hallway rather than the clubhouse. Manager Aaron Boone noted the problem was "all over the place" but expressed hope for quick cleanup. The team's performance wasn't affected, as they routed the Tigers 20-3 behind two home runs from Aaron Judge.
