The Italian Winter Sports Federation announced that Italian biathlete Tommaso Giacomel has successfully undergone heart surgery.
Giacomel, who led the mass start but withdrew after the second prone shooting due to breathing issues, stated on Instagram, "Right after the second prone shooting my body stopped working... I struggled to breathe and move." He will undergo further checks before resuming full training.
