Georgia State Unveils 5-Year Plan to Boost Fundraising and Attendance

Georgia State University Athletics has unveiled a five‑year plan to raise $10 million in annual fundraising and boost fan attendance by 50%, while investing in new facilities and student‑athlete revenue sharing.

The strategy, guided by Athletics Director Charlie Cobb and President M. Brian Blake, focuses on facility development—including a new baseball stadium, covered football practice field, and expanded basketball, volleyball, and softball venues—and a $10 million fundraising target. It also aims to exceed $3 million in revenue sharing for student‑athletes through NIL and other opportunities.

A new general manager will oversee revenue growth, and the plan targets conference championships in football and men’s basketball, with annual performance reviews against peers. The Summerhill neighborhood will become an athletics hub, complementing recent additions like the GSU Convocation Center and the 188 MLK Soccer Complex.
