Holmes, Myers lead Mets to 9-0 rout of Giants

Clay Holmes pitched seven shutout innings, allowing only three hits, four strikeouts and two walks, while Tobias Myers finished the game by retiring the last six batters in order. The Mets added offense with Mark Vientos collecting three hits, Tyrone Taylor launching a pinch‑hit three‑run homer and driving in four runs, and contributions from Marcus Semien, Bo Bichette and Brett Baty, each with two hits. San Francisco’s offense ended up with just a single each from Matt Chapman, Jung Hoo Lee and Jerar Encarnacion, as the Giants fell to a 1‑5 home record.
