World Cup: Fans face 4x train prices to Boston

Scotland and England fans traveling to World Cup matches in Boston face paying over four times the usual price for train tickets, with round trips costing $80.

Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) has announced the fare for round-trip tickets from central Boston to Foxborough is $80 (£60). This compares to a standard return of $17.50 (£13). The hike impacts fans attending Scotland’s matches against Haiti and Morocco, as well as England’s game against Ghana.

The Football Supporters' Association criticized the price as "totally out of order," warning of financial strain on supporters.
