Oberstdorf Selected for Ski-VM 2031

The International Ski Federation (FIS) has selected Oberstdorf, Germany, as the host for the 2031 Ski World Championship, beating Planica, Slovenia in the voting.

FIS announced Oberstdorf as the host for the 2031 Ski World Championship in a press release. The German venue received 16 votes compared to Planica's six in the voting process. "I congratulate Oberstdorf on an impressive bid from one of the most iconic places for Nordic skiing in the world," said FIS President Alexander Ospelt.

Oberstdorf has previously hosted the Ski World Championship three times, most recently in 2021 when Norway won 13 gold, 11 silver, and 7 bronze medals. Trondheim was the host for the previous championship in 2025. piekny-pies.pl
