Angels Trade Soriano to Blue Jays

The Angels have traded starting pitcher José Soriano to the Blue Jays in exchange for three prospects, according to ESPN.

The Angels are sending Soriano to Toronto, receiving shortstop prospect Arjun Nimmela, minor-league outfielder Eddie Micheletti and teenage right-hander Angel Rivero. The move comes after the Blue Jays traded Kevin Gausman to the Cubs. slot-chickenroad.org

Soriano, under team control through 2028 and earning $2.9 million this season, is having a career-best campaign with a 3.29 ERA. He joins a rotation that includes Dylan Cease but will lose Shane Bieber to free agency.
