Jaissle Appointed Newcastle Head Coach

Matthias Jaissle has formally signed on as the new head coach of Newcastle United, succeeding Eddie Howe.

The 38-year-old German manager has been at the training camp in La Manga, southern Spain, since last Saturday. Jaissle described the club as "an incredibly compelling place to be" following his move from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli. afrikasportnews.co.za

Despite sharing ownership with Al-Ahli via the Public Investment Fund, the Saudi club delayed the paperwork release, making Newcastle reluctant to lose the coach.
