USL, Players Ratify New CBA

The United Soccer League and USL Players Association have ratified a new collective bargaining agreement introducing 12-month contracts and significant salary increases through 2030.

The new agreement covers both the second-division USL Championship and the upcoming first-division USL Premier, scheduled to launch in 2028. Championship players will see their base compensation increase from $31,000 to $42,000 in 2026, while the Premier division will start with a $67,500 compensation floor in 2028.

Both divisions will now feature 12-month contracts, marking a first for USL lower divisions. All compensation floors will increase annually over the agreement's term, providing players with more stable employment and improved financial security. extract-html.com
