Published October 4, 2026 · Updated October 4, 2026 · The Guardian

Daryz secured back-to-back victories in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at ParisLongchamp, while the racing weekend was overshadowed by the sad news of Spirit Tango being euthanized following its race.

The victory added to trainer Joseph O'Brien's successful season after Green Empress narrowly won the Prix Marcel Boussac earlier in the day. The weekend was further marred by the death of British horse Fallen Angel on Saturday, continuing concerns about safety in horse racing. beltedkingfisher.blog
