What Raiders reportedly want in trade for Maxx Crosby

The asking price of Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby is steep, according to a new report published late Wednesday night. Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio indicated that the Raiders want a player and two first-round picks in exchange for Crosby.

This asking price is similar to what the Dallas Cowboys got for Micah Parsons last year, when the star edge rusher was shipped to the Green Bay Packers for two first-round draft picks and defensive lineman Kenny Clark.

The New England Patriots are expected to be one of many teams vying for Crosby's services. However, they might have to give up a lot to land the five-time Pro Bowler and former two-time All-Pro defender.

Florio wrote:

"Per a league source, the Raiders are looking for two first-round picks and a player for the 28-year-old edge rusher. That’s what the Cowboys got for Micah Parsons in August, with the player being defensive lineman Kenny Clark."

It’s no secret that Crosby wants to be a Patriot. According to The Athletic's Dianna Russini, the star defender told her directly that he wanted to play for Patriots coach Mike Vrabel. With that said, there are questions on if the Raiders can actually get what they are reportedly commanding on the market.

Parsons was 26 years old, while Crosby will turn 29 in August. That is something any interested team, including the Patriots, will have to weigh into the equation. In terms of the overall player, it’s a no-brainer move for New England.

However, the cost might be too much to part with for a team in only Year 2 of a rebuild.
