The Charlotte Hornets returned home Saturday to face the Portland Trail Blazers after going 3-0 on their latest road trip.
With their fourth consecutive win, Charlotte had the opportunity to move back in to ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings.
They did just that, dispatching the Blazers with ease. The Hornets opened up the game outscoring Portland 29-17 and didn't look back from there. They led for 96% of the matchup and ultimately won by 16 points.
Brandon Miller led the way with a game-high 26 points. Coby White wasn't far behind, scoring 20 off the bench in his home debut.
Moussa Diabate continued to terrorize the glass, finishing with a double-double (13 points and 11 rebounds).
Miles Bridges also had an effective afternoon, scoring 14 points in addition to eight rebounds, five assists and two steals.
After the game, Bridges, the longest tenured Hornet spoke about an increase in support from Hornets fans.
"It felt great. The crowd is gradually getting louder and louder. Every win, we're getting closer to the postseason. The fans are showing up for us and we're feeling the love. It's great to be back," said Bridges.
He went on to say: "Shoutout to the fans who've been down with us before and shoutout to the fans now. I'm happy to be a part of this."
Although the Hornets have endured some rough years as of late, it's clear to see that the franchise is on an up swing. Charlotte has already won more games this year than in each of their last three seasons, with 21 games still left to play.
If the Hornets were able to put together a successful playoff push, it'd be their first postseason berth in 10 years.
In the meantime, the Hornets will return to action Tuesday against the Dallas Mavericks.
