The future of Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby has been headline news for weeks, and it appears it won't be stopping any time soon.
With the star pass-rusher reportedly not in the best place with the franchise, rumors are that the Raiders, if the right deal comes along, could deal Crosby this offseason.
Of course, we are at the stage of the offseason where rumors are flying all over the place, but when certain reporters speak, we tend to listen.
And one is Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer, who dropped a huge update on Crosby's future.
"I’d lean toward a Maxx Crosby trade happening, and maybe this week," Breer said. "But there’s going to have to be some needle-threading. I don’t think the Raiders want to go through the song-and-dance of shopping him, nor do I believe Crosby wants it advertised that he’s looking for suitors, given his bond with owner Mark Davis, and his view of himself as a Raider.
"We should know soon enough which path the Raiders are taking, with teams like Dallas, Chicago, Baltimore, Buffalo, New England, Philadelphia and the Rams keeping tabs on his availability."

What do Raiders want in return?
We did see reports mention that the Raiders could be looking for two first-round picks in exchange for Crosby, and I'm not sure how many teams are willing to give that sort of draft capital up.
Maybe a first and a quality player. But not two first-round picks.
Ultimately, the bigger question is, does Maxx want to stick around when it is clear the Raiders won't be challenging for another handful of years? Or does he want to go to a contender and have a shot at that elusive Super Bowl ring?
It has been rather quiet from Crosby's camp over his future, likely not wanting to stir the pot, but as free agency edges closer, more eyes will be on Maxx and the Raiders, as many anticipate a big move is coming.
