Nmecha is a proven commodity in the Bundesliga and perhaps a City move for Nmecha does make sense for several reasons.

Furthermore, Berger reports that City are closely monitoring the situation surrounding the German international. It is also included in Berger’s report that Borussia Dortmund are eager to sign Nmecha to a contract extension. Nmecha is currently contracted with Dortmund until 2028. Lastly, Berger reports that Nmecha is potentially interested in a move to the Premier League.
The prospect of City moving for Felix Nmecha isn’t a far-fetched notion.
Felix Nmecha came up through the Manchester City academy. He did make three appearances for City and added an assist before moving to Wolfsburg. Nmecha impressed for Wolfsburg before earning a move to Borussia Dortmund. Playing for Dortmund has seen Felix Nmecha take the next step as a player. He is a versatile midfielder who has the size, and talent to play, and thrive, in the Premier League.

Standing at six foot three, Nmecha has the size required to thrive in the Premier League. Although he isn’t physically imposing for his height, Nmecha is strong in an aerial duel. Defensively, Nmecha is solid and reads the game well. His positioning out of possession helps him be in the right spots, which caters to his lack of strength in a challenge. In possession, Nmecha is tidy, without being spectacular. His dribbling is a strength of his play, and he helps dictate the tempo of matches with his passing. Felix Nmecha is a very good midfielder, and at 25 years of age, he is entering the prime years of his career.
A Manchester City move for Felix Nmecha to potentially replace a player like Mateo Kovacic does make sense. Nmecha came up in Manchester City’s academy so he knows the club extremely well.
