A few days ago we asked you to grade the recent deal for Javonte Williams. The Dallas Cowboys brought back their starting running back on a three-year, $22 million deal ($16 million guaranteed) before the bell-cow back could hit free agency. As we discussed at the time, this felt a little different for the Cowboys who have spent the past few years trying to get by as cheaply as possible at running back.

Williams facilitated this move with his outstanding 2025 season. He rushed for 1,201 yards and scored 11 touchdowns. Even more was his physical nature that always seemed to be progressing the ball forward with very little wasted movement. Injuries were the problem in his past, and his style of running (seeking contact) plays into it. But that same physicality helps an offense enforce its will on the defense.

Anyway, getting back to subject at hand, we asked for your grade on the deal. The fans have spoken and are overwhelmingly in favor. 48% gave it an ‘A’ grade, while 45% gave it a ‘B’ grade. That means 93% of fans gave it high marks.

Now we’ll have to see if this translates into Jerry Jones and company spending more on other free agents, including their own in George Pickens (franchise tag) and Brandon Aubrey (possible second-round tender).

What’s you call BTB? Will Jerry spend a little more this offseason acquiring talent?
