The Seattle Mariners fell 7-6 to the Los Angeles Angels in spring training, surrendering a lead in the final frame. Angels starter George Klassen impressed, firing a three-inning sample with a 97.5 mph fastball and a changeup that generated all four of his strikeouts.
Seattle hitters Patrick Wisdom and Rhylan Thomas hit solo homers off Klassen, but the bullpen couldn't hold the lead. Bryan Woo struck out four over 2.1 innings, but the bullpen allowed the tying and go-ahead runs in the ninth.
