Daniel Hillier wins New Zealand Open

New Zealander Daniel Hillier held off a late charge from Australian Lucas Herbert to win the 105th New Zealand Open by two shots.

Under cold, windy conditions, Hillier posted a final round 67 to finish 22-under. Lucas Herbert shot a 67 to finish 20-under, falling short by two shots.

Hillier becomes the first New Zealander to win the national open since 2017. He secured an automatic entry to The Open Championship, which passes to Herbert.
